Empowering Our Community Together

Updated: 20 hours ago

I’m running for Justice of the Peace because District 5 deserves practical leadership that listens to residents, protects our quality of life, and uses taxpayer dollars responsibly. Our district is unique — blending lakes, neighborhoods, tourism, and small businesses — and our county policies should reflect that balance.

Fix Roads & Infrastructure First

Reliable infrastructure is not optional — it’s essential. Too many residents deal with poor road conditions, drainage problems, and aging utilities.

My priorities:

  • Focus road repairs on heavily traveled corridors such as US 70/27, lakeshore roads, and neighborhood connectors

  • Advocate for improved stormwater drainage to reduce flooding and erosion

  • Support long‑term planning for sewer, water, and broadband expansion in unincorporated areas

Strong infrastructure protects property values, improves safety, and supports economic growth.

Tourism That Works for Residents

Tourism is an important part of our local economy, but it must work for the people who live here year‑round.

My approach:

  • Support tourism and local employers while protecting neighborhood quality of life

  • Address concerns like traffic congestion, noise, and over‑development

  • Encourage smart growth that respects residents, infrastructure capacity, and natural resources

Tourism should enhance our community — not overwhelm it.

Housing for Working Families & Seniors

District 5 depends on service‑industry workers, caregivers, and retirees — yet affordable housing options are limited.

I will work to:

  • Encourage workforce and senior housing through county partnerships and incentives

  • Support policies that reduce long commutes for local workers

  • Promote housing solutions that fit the character of our neighborhoods

Stable housing strengthens families, businesses, and the local economy.

Protect Property Values & Neighborhoods

Residents take pride in their homes and neighborhoods — and county government should help protect that investment.

My commitments:

  • Support fair and consistent code enforcement

  • Address nuisance properties before they become safety hazards

  • Promote neighborhood cleanup and revitalization efforts

  • Clean, safe neighborhoods benefit everyone.

Protect Our Lakes & Natural Beauty

Lakes Hamilton and Catherine are among District 5’s greatest assets. Protecting them protects our future.

I will advocate for:

  • Strong coordination with lake authorities and state agencies

  • Shoreline protection and erosion control

  • Policies that balance development with environmental responsibility

  • Healthy lakes mean stronger property values, recreation, and tourism.

Transparent Budgeting & Responsible Tax Use

Residents deserve clear answers about how county tax dollars are spent.

As your Justice of the Peace, I will:

  • Push for transparent, easy‑to‑understand county budgets

  • Evaluate spending based on results and community benefit

  • Prioritize District 5 needs in county funding decisions

  • Every dollar should be spent with purpose and accountability.

Putting District 5 First

I believe county government should be accessible, responsive, and practical. My goal is simple: listen to residents, focus on solutions, and make decisions that strengthen District 5 today and for the future.

I would be honored to earn your support.
